The Smart Portal for Our Members Goes Online
As an innovative cooperative, it is especially important to us to make internal processes for our members as smooth and efficient as possible. In February 2024, the “Smart Portal” project reaches its preliminary conclusion after 2 1/2 years of intensive work. With this portal, we aim to advance the automation of work processes, strengthen the self-determination of our self-employed members, enhance networking within the Smart Community, and promote democratic participation.
Cooperative for Self-Employed and Freelancers
The Smart Cooperative is aimed at self-employed individuals and freelancers who want to benefit from the cooperative advantages for the self-employed. Our solidarity-based cooperative offers social and financial security for self-employed individuals, thus promoting sustainable self-employment. We combine the freedom of self-employment with the security of employment. And the best part: we handle all the bureaucratic tasks for you. To make this even better, we have created the Smart Portal.
From the beginning, we have worked together with all stakeholders. We listened carefully: Who needs what to make everything fit well together? The goals were soon clear: automation, self-determination, networking, and democratic participation. The development steps are documented in the “Development Manual Smart Portal – Digitalization in the Participatory Process.” Supported by cooperatives such as nWoW, Lekton e. G., ESIT, and collaboration with European Smart cooperatives, two versions of the portal were developed.
Revolution in Work Management
One version is now in use at Smart Germany. The result for us is a portal that revolutionizes work management. Functions such as independent offer creation, usage rights management, and order status tracking give our members full control over their own orders.
At the same time, all relevant information for administrative processing is readily available where we can handle it for you. This allows you to focus entirely on what you love doing. And we take care of the bureaucracy. This makes the Smart Portal the perfect platform for your services (which you process through Smart).
Solidarity Economy and Networking
More than just work: It was important to us that our platform reflects all the advantages of a cooperative. Therefore, digital exchange and networking among our members are integral parts of the portal. (You can learn more about the Smart Community here.) Solidarity economy in the best sense of the word, whether you want to seek or offer support or increase your own reach.
